The Heart of Bayview

The Bayview Community Center, located at 20298 E Perimeter Rd in Bayview, ID, has been the gathering place for our community since 1995. Built by local volunteers on the southern edge of beautiful Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho, the Center hosts public and private events and serves as home base for countless local groups and meetings.

 

Our Story

The Center was born from necessity. After the beloved Bayview Schoolhouse was condemned, the Bayview Chamber of Commerce envisioned a new community hub in 1991. Through generous land donations, over $288,000 in contributed funds and volunteer labor, the dream became reality. On June 30, 1995, the doors opened—and they've been welcoming neighbors ever since.

Since its opening, continued support has allowed us to expand parking, add a deck and community library, and build a memorial wall. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and just steps from Lake Pend Oreille, the Center truly is Bayview's heart.
